Landscapes and seascapes evoking colour and mood

I am a contemporary landscape artist, inspired by the stunning places I see in

Scotland. My work frequently features the wild beauty of the Highlands and

the Western Isles. I also enjoy painting Scotland's historic monuments and

buildings. Some of the painted subjects are iconic and well known, while

others are more obscure.

I generally apply acrylic paint thickly with a brush or palette knife to board or

canvas, but other materials and techniques are used at times. I am becoming

increasingly expressive in my compositions and painting technique, bringing

my subjects alive.
